The Great Classroom Mystery
We walked into the classroom, ready for the day,
But realized with a horror, we forgot to text and say:
“Hey friend, did you complete the homework due by nine?”
My group members just stared at me, a shiver down their spine!
The teacher walked in smiling, with chalk upon her hand,
We started plotting fake excuses, the best in all the land.
“My dog ate up my notebook!” or “My internet went dead!”
But honestly, the truth was, we just stayed too long in bed.
Then came the sudden pop-quiz, the ultimate betrayal,
Our faces turned as white as ghosts, our confidence grew frail.
I looked across at Rahul, who was staring at the wall,
Hoping the answers would appear, or the ceiling just would fall!
We survived the class together, though our brains were turned to mush,
When the final bell rang loudly, you should have seen the rush!
We might not be the smartest, and our homework might be late,
But as a group of chaotic friends, we think we're doing great!
