(i)
Total of all ages = 13 + 10 + 9 + 11 + 12 + 14 +12 + 15 + 12 = 108
Mean = `"Sum of observations"/"Total number of observations"`
= `(108)/9`
= 12
(ii)
Arranging the numbers in ascending order = 9, 10, 11, 12, 12, 12, 13, 14, 15
Median = `(n + 1)/2`
= `(9 + 1)/2`
= 5th observation
∴ Median = 12
