In the figure,
∵ Lines are parallel
∴ 4x + 1 = 180° .........(co-interior angles)
But ∠1 = 5x ........(vertically opposite angles)
∴ 4x + 5x = 180°
⇒ 9x = 180°
Hence x =`(180°)/9` = 20°
