Question
Find the sum to infinity of `21 + 14 + 28/3 + ...`
Advertisements
Solution
`21 + 14 + 28/3 + ...`
Here a = 21, r = `14/21 = 2/3`
S∞ = `"a"/(1 - "r")`
= `21/(1 - 2/3)`
= `21/((3 - 2)/3)`
= `21/(1/3)`
= 21 × 3 = 63
S∞ = 63
