(u + v) + (u – v) + (2u + 5v) + (2u – 5v)
= u + v + u – v + 2u + 5v + 2u – 5v
= u + u + 2u + 2u + v – v + 5v – 5v
= (1 + 1 + 2 + 2)u + (1 – 1 + 5 – 5)v
= 6u + 0v
= 6u
