Find the sum:
`(-8)/19 + (-2)/57`
Advertisements
Solution
Given, `(-8)/19 + (-2)/57`
= `(- 8)/19 - 2/27`
Now the LCM of the denominator of the former parameter = 57
= `((- 8 xx 3) - (2 xx 1))/57`
= `(- 24 - 2)/57`
= `(- 26)/57`
The numerator and denominator of the obtained rational number have no other multiple than 1.
Hence, `(- 26)/57`
