Find the slope of the following line which passes through the points:
E(2, 3), F(2, −1)
Sum

Solution
Here, E ≡ (2, 3) and F ≡ (2, –1)
Slope of line EF = `(y_2 - y_1)/(x_2 - x_1)`
= `(-1 - 3)/(2 - 2)`
= `(-4)/0`, which is not defined
Alternate Method:
Points E and F have same x co-ordinates i.e. 2
∴ Points E and F lie on a line parallel to Y-axis.
∴ The slope of EF is not defined.
