Solution

Since, {2, –3} is solution set.

It means 2 and –3 are roots of the equation,

∴ x = 2 or x = –3

⇒ x – 2 = 0 or x + 3 = 0

⇒ (x – 2)(x + 3) = 0

⇒ (x2 + 3x – 2x – 6) = 0

⇒ x2 + x – 6 = 0

Hence, quadratic equation with solution set {2, –3} is x2 + x – 6 = 0.
