Solution
(i) Favourable outcomes (a prime number) = 7
{31, 37, 41, 43, 47, 53, 59}
Total outcomes = 31
{30, 31, 32, ....., 60}
Required probability = `"Favourable outcomes"/"Total outcomes"`
= `7/31`
(ii) Favourable outcomes (a multiple of 6) = 6
{30, 36, 42, 48, 54, 60}
Total outcomes = 31
{30, 31, 32, ....., 60}
Required probability = `6/31`
