Question

`(-3)/2 xx (-2)/3`
`2 xx 1/2`
`(-1)/3 xx 3/1`

Solution
`bb((-1)/3 xx 3/1)`
Explanation:
(a) Given, `4/3 xx 3/4`
∵ Product of rational numbers = `"Product of numerators"/"Product of denominators"`
= `(4 xx 3)/(3 xx 4)`
= `12/12`
= 1
(b) Similarly, `(-3)/2 xx (-2)/3 = ((-3) xx (-2))/(2 xx 3) = 6/6 = 1`
(c) `2/1 xx 1/2 = (2 xx 1)/(1 xx 2) = 2/2 = 1`
(d) `-1/3 xx 3/1 = ((-1) xx 3)/(3 xx 1) = (-3)/3 = -1`
Since, the value of options (a), (b), (c) are 1 and option (d) is –1.
Hence, `(-1)/3 xx 3/1` is odd out.
