a1 = 1, an = an – 1 + 2, n ≥ 2

Given: a1 = 1, an = an – 1 + 2 for n ≥ 2

a2 = a1 + 2

= 1 + 2

= 3

a3 = a2 + 2

= 3 + 2

= 5

a4 = a3 + 2

= 5 + 2

= 7

a5 = a4 + 2

= 7 + 2

= 9

a6 = a5 + 2

= 9 + 2

= 11

The next five terms are 3, 5, 7, 9, 11.
