The modal class is 40 – 60, since its frequency is the highest.
Here, l = 40, f = 12, f1 = 7, f2 = 5 and h = 20.

\[\text{Mode}=40+\frac{12-7}{2(12)-7-5}\times20=40+\frac{5}{12}\times20\approx48.33\]
Mode = 48.33.
