Find the first three terms to the sequence, whose nth term is t_n = 4n - 3

Answer 1

t_n = 4n - 3

∴ t₁ = 4(1) - 3 = 4 - 3 = 1

∴ t₂ = 4(2) - 3 = 8 - 3 = 5

∴ t₃ = 4(3) - 3 = 12 - 3 = 9

∴ The first three terms are 1 , 5  and 9
