Find the area and perimeter of a square plot of land, the length of whose diagonal is 15 meters. Given your answer correct to 2 places of decimals.

Let a be the length of each side of the square.
Hence
2a2 = ( diagonal )2
a2 = `(15^2)/(2)`
a2 = 112.5
a = 10.60
Hence
Area = a2
= 112.5 sq . m
And
Perimeter = 4a = 42.43 m
