Find discount in per cent when M.P. = Rs 900 and S.P. = Rs 873
Advertisements
Solution
Marked price (MP) = Rs 900
Selling price (SP) = Rs 873
∵ Discount = Marked price – Selling price
= Rs 900 – Rs 873
= Rs 27
∴ Discount % = `"Discount"/"Marked price" xx 100`
= `27/900 xx 100`
= `27/9`
= 3%
