\[a(a + b - c) - bc = a^2 + ab - ac - bc\]
\[ = ( a^2 - ac) + (ab - bc)\] [Regrouping the expressions]
\[ = a(a - c) + b(a - c)\]
\[ = (a + b)(a - c)\] [Taking (a - c) as the common factor]
