Given: x2 – 4 – 3xy + 6y

We know that,

(a + b) (a – b) = a2 – b2

Hence,

⇒ x2 – 22 – 3y(x – 2)

⇒ (x + 2) (x – 2) + 3y(x – 2)

⇒ (x – 2) (x + 2 – 3y)
