Solution
Plants have lower energy needs than animals because they do not move from place to place and therefore do not expend energy on locomotion. Their metabolic activities are generally slower, and a large part of their body may consist of dead tissues that require no energy for maintenance. Plants also do not need to maintain a constant body temperature like many animals. In addition, they make their own food through Photosynthesis and lack energy-demanding systems such as muscles and a nervous system. As a result, plants require much less energy than animals.
