Types of cloning are as follows:

1. Reproductive cloning - Fusion of a nucleus of somatic cell with the enucleated ovum to form a completely new organism is known as reproductive cloning.
2. Therapeutic cloning - Somatic cells are fused with an enucleated egg cell, in order to obtain stem cells. This is known as therapeutic cloning.
