An indirect free kick is awarded to the opposing team if, in the referee’s judgment, a player:
- Plays in a dangerous way.
- Obstructs the movement of an opponent.
- Stops the goalkeeper from releasing the ball from their hands.
- Commits any other offence that leads to play being stopped for a caution or a sending-off.
