A district control unit is formed either after the impact of a disaster or getting intimation about it. It analyses various aspects of disaster and keeps continuous contact with various agencies like the army, air force, navy, telecommunication department, paramilitary forces, etc. for getting help. It is also responsible for coordinating with various voluntary organizations for their help in disaster management.
