Solution

  1. Energy obtained from fossil fuels is not green energy because fossil fuels, such as coal, petroleum, and natural gas, are non-renewable resources and are available in limited quantities.
  2. When fossil fuels are burned, they release carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and other pollutants, which cause air pollution, global warming, and environmental degradation.
  3. Green energy sources are renewable and produce little or no pollution, whereas fossil fuels are non-renewable and pollute.

Therefore, energy obtained from fossil fuels is not considered green energy.
