2. These are the writings of Indian historians who wrote about the nationalist movement in different parts of India. They wanted to reveal the ancient history and the golden era of India. 
3. They opposed those British scholars who wrote about the history of ancient India in a biased manner and to avoid the objective truth of the historical events.
4. Some notable scholars associated with Nationalistic historiography include Mahadev Govind Ranade, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, Radha Kumud Mukherjee, Ramesh Chandra Majumdar, and many others.
