He prepared a series of questions and answers in Tamil about the Christian religion. These are called ‘Catechisms’. He also prepared ‘Apologias’ i.e., statements by means of which he defended Christian doctrines. He wrote ‘discourses’ which were intended to explain the teachings of Jesus Christ in Tamil. These works in prose rank very high in religious literature in Tamil language.
