Electrostatic force is the force of attraction or repulsion between electrically charged objects. Objects with opposite charges attract each other, while objects with like charges repel. This force acts even when the objects are not in contact.

Example: When you rub a balloon on your hair, the balloon becomes charged and can attract small pieces of paper due to electrostatic force.
