  1. Sporophyll is a kind of leaf that has sporangia on it. The sporophylls of other plants, such as the strobili of club moss, gymnosperms, and angiosperm flowers, are modified and emerge in specialist structures.
  2. Sporophylls are the typical foliage leaves of ferns. Microsporophylls and megasporophylls are the two forms of sporophylls found in most plants.
