Following are the fundamental rights related to the freedom of religion:
- Article 25 → Freedom of Conscience and Free Profession, Practice and Propagation of Religion: Every person has the right to freely follow, practice, and spread their religion, subject to public order, morality, and health.
- Article 26 → Freedom to Manage Religious Affairs: Every religious denomination or its section has the right to manage its own affairs in matters of religion, including establishing and managing religious institutions.
- Article 27 → Freedom from Taxation for Promotion of Religion: No person shall be compelled to pay any tax for the promotion or maintenance of any particular religion or religious institution.
- Article 28 → Freedom as to Attendance at Religious Instruction: No religious instruction shall be provided in educational institutions wholly maintained out of state funds. However, this does not apply to institutions administered by the state but established under a trust or endowment which requires such instruction.
