3. Capacity: LANs using coaxial cables support bandwidths ranging from 2.5 Mbps to 10 Mbps. Thicknet coaxial cables provide higher bandwidth.
4. Attenuation: Due to signal loss, thinnet coaxial cable can reliably transmit data up to 185 meters, while thicknet cable can cover distances up to 500 meters.
5. EMI: Since coaxial cable has a central copper conductor, it is affected by electromagnetic interference; however, shielding reduces this effect. Coaxial cable is less sensitive to EMI than UTP cable.
