Solution

Casual wage labourers are among the most vulnerable workers because they usually lack permanent jobs, fixed salaries, or job security. They can commonly be found in:

  • Construction sites as helpers, masons and labourers.
  • Agricultural fields as seasonal farm workers.
  • Markets and shops, where they work as loading and unloading workers.
  • Factories and small workshops as temporary workers.
  • Roadside work and other daily-wage activities.

They are vulnerable because they may get work only for a few days or months, their wages are often low, and they usually do not receive benefits such as paid leave, pension, insurance or job security. Hence, casual wage labourers are mostly found in agriculture, construction and other informal-sector activities, where employment is uncertain, and income is irregular.
