2. Classification Classified into ferrous (contain iron, e.g., iron ore) and non-ferrous (do not contain iron, e.g., copper, bauxite). Organic non-metallic minerals (e.g., coal, petroleum) are formed from buried plant and animal remains. Inorganic ones include mica, limestone, and graphite.
3. Conductivity Good conductors of heat and electricity. Poor conductors of heat and electricity.
4. Examples Iron ore, copper, gold, silver-lead, aluminium, tin, etc. Coal, petroleum, limestone, mica, etc.
