Solution

  1. Narendra Nath Battacharya, also known as M.N. Roy, was one of the first people to help start the Communist Party of India (CPI).
  2. Roy was one of the first Indian communists. He became one of those because of Marxist ideas and the success of the Russian Revolution. He started the Communist Party of India in Tashkent, which is now Uzbekistan, in October 1920.
  3. It was the first communist group run by Indians, even though it was based outside of India.
  4. Another important thing Roy did was become a leader in the Communist International (Comintern). He used his ties around the world to teach Indian revolutionaries about communist ideas. He stressed the need for workers’ rights, anti-imperialism, and class warfare.
