Solution
The narrator comes across as compassionate and courageous when he realises a baby langur is being attacked; he leaves his book, drives the attackers away and rescues the injured animal. He is also responsible and practical. He and his family provide first aid, calm the baby, and ensure the baby is safely reunited with its mother. At heart, he is empathetic and observant; the incident teaches him that animals can trust and communicate with humans, and the memory stays with him for decades.
