Solution
Jute is the second important fibre crop after cotton. This crop provides cheap and strong fibre which is used as a raw material by the jute industry. Jute is known as the “Golden Fibre” and is used for making gunny bags, ropes, mats, and eco-friendly packaging. It requires a warm and humid climate with 24°C to 35°C temperature and more than 150 cm rainfall. Sowing is done from March to May and harvested between July and September. Jute is important for employment, industry, and exports.
