Solution

A stereotype is a fixed and oversimplified idea or belief about a group of people. It means assuming that everyone in a particular group is the same, without noticing their individual differences.

For example, thinking “all girls are weak,” “all people of that caste are unclean,” or “all foreigners are dishonest” are stereotypes. These ideas are not true for everyone in that group, but people use them to judge others quickly without real knowledge or experience.

Stereotypes are usually learned from family, friends, society, and media. They are passed from one generation to another and become common beliefs even though they are unfair and incorrect.

Stereotypes are harmful because they lead to prejudice and discrimination. They create misunderstanding, fear, and hatred between different groups. By labeling people unfairly, stereotypes deny them respect and equal opportunities.
