Basis of Difference	Vitreous Chamber	Aqueous Chamber
Location	It is the posterior chamber located behind the lens and in front of the retina.	It is the anterior chamber located in the front of the eye between the cornea and the lens.
Nature of Fluid	It is filled with a thick, transparent, jelly-like fluid called vitreous humour.	It is filled with a clear, thin, watery liquid called aqueous humour.
Secretion and Replacement	The vitreous humour is a permanent jelly-like substance that is not continuously produced or drained.	The aqueous humour is continuously secreted by the ciliary body and circulates to remove wastes.
Primary Function	It protects the retina and nerve endings, maintains the spherical shape of the eyeball, and absorbs shocks.	It refracts light rays, maintains intraocular shape, and supplies nourishment to the avascular cornea and lens.
Relative Size	It is the larger chamber occupying the major volume of the eyeball cavity.	It is the much smaller chamber of the eye.
