Distillation Liquation
It is based on the difference in boiling points of the components. It is based on the difference in melting points of the components.
The substance is heated to form vapour, which is then condensed. The metal is heated until the lower-melting component melts and flows away.
It is used to separate or purify liquids or volatile substances. It is used mainly to purify low-melting metals from solid impurities.
