Characteristic Apes Man
(i) Posture Body is bent forward; posture is semi-upright. Body is fully upright with erect posture.
(ii) Cranium Smaller cranium with less brain capacity (about 400–600 cc). Larger cranium with high brain capacity (about 1400–1600 cc).
(iii) Brow ridges Prominent, heavy brow ridges above the eyes. Reduced or absent brow ridges; forehead more vertical.
(iv) Locomotion Quadrupedal or knuckle-walking (use all four limbs). Bipedal, walks upright on two legs.
