No, the Doctrine of Lapse had no advantage for Indian rulers.
Reason:
It was a policy introduced by Lord Dalhousie under which if a ruler died without a natural heir, his kingdom would be annexed by the British. This weakened Indian rulers as they lost their states and power. It only benefited the British by expanding their empire, not the Indian rulers.
