Uttarakhand lies in the western Himalayan region. As it lies in the mountainous region, it is known for its scenic and natural beauty and is also the home of sacred religious places. Thus, it is known as ‘Dev Bhoomi’ or the ‘Land of Gods’. Since time immemorial, it has been attracting tourists and pilgrims from all over the world.
