We know that a hydrogen bomb consists of deuterium, tritium and lithium. A hydrogen bomb is exploded by using an atom bomb. When an atom bomb is exploded, much heat is produced, which raises the temperature of deuterium and tritium to an extent in a small time. At this temperature, fusion reactions of deuterium and tritium take place, producing a tremendous amount of energy. This process causes the explosion of a hydrogen bomb, releasing an enormous amount of energy in a very short time.
