Solution

Yeast reproduces asexually by the process of budding. A bud first appears on the outside of the parent yeast cell. The parent nucleus divides into two, and one daughter nucleus enters the bud. The bud grows gradually into a new yeast cell. It may detach from the parent cell to live independently or remain attached, forming a chain of yeast cells.
