Solution

Advantages of Well Irrigation:

  1. The poor Indian farmer may readily afford wells, which are the most straightforward and affordable kind of irrigation.
  2. When the need arises, a well can be used as a stand-alone source of irrigation. Conversely, canal irrigation is governed by other organisations and cannot be utilised whenever it pleases.
  3. Overwatering caused by canals causes reh issues, whereas well irrigation does not.
  4. While a well can be drilled anywhere that is convenient, the area of canal irrigation is limited.
  5. Well water contains a variety of compounds, including nitrate, chloride, sulphate, and others. When they arrive in the agricultural field with well water, they increase the fertility of the soil.
  6. The farmer has to pay regularly for canal irrigation, which is not the case with well irrigation.
