4. It didn’t like land limits in farming, nor cooperative farming or state trade.
5. It was also opposed to progressive taxes and wanted to get rid of the licensing system.
6. It was also against the Non-Alignment Policy and India’s close links with the USSR that the Swatantra Party spoke out against. Instead, it pushed for stronger ties with the US.
