Solution

Indo-Islamic architecture is the syncretic building style that developed in the Indian subcontinent when Islamic architectural forms (arches, domes, minarets, Quranic inscriptions, geometric and arabesque ornament) were combined with indigenous Indian (Hindu and Jain) building techniques, motifs and materials (carved floral motifs, temple elements, red sandstone and marble). It began with the Delhi Sultanate and was further developed and perfected under the Mughals.
