Macromolecular colloids are colloidal solutions in which the dispersed particles are large molecules, called macromolecules, possessing very high molecular masses and dimensions comparable to those of colloidal particles. These macromolecules, when dispersed in a suitable dispersion medium, form colloidal dispersions known as macromolecular colloids.
