Question
Complete the following activity to find the volume of a cone if the radius of its base is 7 cm and its perpendicular height is 6 cm.
Activity:
Here, radius (r) = 7 cm, height (4) = 6 cm
The volume of a cone = `square` ...(Formula)
= `1/3 xx 22/7 xx square xx 6`
= `1/3 xx 22/7 xx square xx 6`
∴ the volume of the cone = `square` cm3.

Solution
Here, radius (r) = 7 cm, height (4) = 6 cm
The volume of a cone = \[\boxed{\frac{1}{3}πr^2h}\]
= \[\frac{1}{3} × \frac{22}{7} × \boxed{(7)^2} × 6\]
= \[\frac{1}{3} × \frac{22}{7} × \boxed{49} × 6\]
∴ the volume of the cone = \[\boxed{308}\] cm3.
