Solution

Property Lyophilic sol Lyophobic sol
Stability Lyophilic sols are highly stable due to strong solvation (hydration) of particles. Lyophobic sols are less stable and are easily precipitated by small amounts of electrolytes.
Reversibility Lyophilic sols are reversible in nature. The sol can be reformed by simply adding the dispersion medium. Lyophobic sols are irreversible. Once precipitated, they cannot be reformed easily.
