Mol. wt. of KNO3 = At. wt. of K + At. wt. of N + 3 × [At. wt. of O]

= 39 + 14 + 3 × [16]

= 39 + 14 + 48

= 101 amu

Percentage of Potassium (K) = `39/101 xx 100` = 38.61%

Percentage of Nitrogen (N) = `14/101 xx 100` = 13.86%

Percentage of Oxygen (O) = `48/101 xx 100` = 47.53%
