Solution

There are three branches between A and B:

Upper branch = 3 Ω + 2 Ω = 5 Ω

Middle branch = 30 Ω

Lower branch = 6 Ω + 4 Ω = 10 Ω

These three branches are connected in parallel.

The equivalent resistance is

`1/R = 1/5 + 1/30 + 1/30`

Taking LCM = 30,

`1/R = 6/30 + 1/30 + 3/30`

`1/R = (6 + 1 + 3)/30`

`1/R = 10/30`

`1/R = 1/3`

R = 3 Ω

The total equivalent resistance between terminals A and B is 3 Ω.
