For any business, hiring new employees is essential to retaining and growing a productive and successful workforce. Time and money waste are typically decreased by a good hiring policy. There are two ways to recruit: internally and externally.

Candidates are employed for a variety of positions within the same organization through internal recruitment. This is a major source of hiring and an opportunity to build on and leverage the organization’s current assets.

The simplest method of resource selection is internal recruitment, since the organization already knows how well candidates perform in their current roles.

The following are the four internal recruitment methods.

1. Promotions: The process of promoting a worker from a lower-level role to one with more responsibilities, compensation, benefits, and status. To fill higher-level roles, many businesses use internal promotions.
2. Transfers: The process of moving an employee from one job to another without them going up in the company. It can also mean relocating employees to another location based on the needs of the open position.
3. Recruiting Fonner Employees: In this method, the company calls back former workers to fill open positions. This method is effective and saves the organization significant time. Also, former workers know their roles and how to perform them, so the company doesn’t have to invest as much in training and development.
4. Layoff: Employees are temporarily separated from their employers. Layoffs happen because the company doesn’t have enough work. When work is available, senior employees will be given priority. This means layoffs can be used to fill open positions.
